Diagnose

Standing at a unit? Snap the model plate and text Holler the photo. It reads the plate back (brand, model, tonnage, refrigerant, whatever’s printed) and adds what the book says about that model family.

Goodman GSX140361: plate reads 3 ton, R-410A. Run capacitor is typically 45/5 uF 440V on this family; confirm against the plate. Want the manual library link?

On a job, reply EQUIP right after the photo and Holler turns that same plate read into an equipment record on the job, no retyping. See Paperwork.

Two sources, never a third

  • The plate itself. Anything printed on it is read back as fact.
  • The book. A curated spec library for the major residential HVAC brands (Goodman, Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, York), with model-number decoding.
  • A model outside the book gets an honest “I can read the plate but I don’t have the book on this one yet.” A wrong capacitor is a wrong dollar in a different uniform, so Holler never guesses specs.

What it won’t do

Diagnose reads specs. It doesn’t give repair instructions, and typed model numbers work too (“what’s the tonnage on a GSX140361”).
